We Love Our Animals and What We Do!
Hi, I'm Carol and I've loved and cared for animals since I was around 9 years of age. I have shared my life with Guinea Pigs, Rabbits, Hamsters, Mice, Birds, Hens as well as Cats and Dogs. I currently have 4 guinea pigs and a dog - all from rescue.
Almost 10 years ago, I left my job in an office, to work with animals. After trying to find somewhere locally for my own piggies to stay whilst we went on holiday and struggling to find somewhere that I thought would care for my piggies as I would, a real 'home from home', I decided to set up 2 spare rooms in our house for luxury boarding – Pip’s House.
I also can pop into your home to feed, let out in the garden and play with your pets, whilst you are out at work or on your holiday.
I obtained my City and Guilds Level 2 in dog grooming, which I did for some years, although now I just groom my own guinea pigs. This is how I am confident in offering a mini groom for your piggies, if you'd like for them to have, whilst they are staying on their holidays.
I am a member of RWAF (Rabbit Welfare and Fund) and currently studying for the Rabbit Studies Diploma Level 3
I am DBS checked and I am more than happy to provide references on request.
Pet Hotel
I am very much into providing a home from home environment for your little furries and, as part of your booking confirmation, I will ask you to let me know what they are used to with regards to their feeding times, what they like to eat, their daily routines, etc so that I can ensure they have the same here and help them to settle in.
Enrichment
As your guinea pigs and rabbits are on their holidays too, they will have daily access to an external run, dependent on the weather. I will always be supervising them – usually in with them, playing with them and having cuddles. In this run, I will add toys (all safe for rabbits and guinea pigs) as well as tunnels, hideys, and other shade as required, as well as fresh water and snacks.
If the weather is too wet or cold for them to go outside, they can have a run around in their secure bedrooms – again fully supervised.

When your piggies come to stay at Pip's House, if you so wish, for an additional £10, you can book them in for a mini Piggie Pamper.
Using only natural, guinea pig designed products from Gorgeous Guineas, I can totally pamper your piggies with a bathe, dry, trim hair and nails, as well as massage and soothe their little feets with paw ointment.
